Bob’s book is about one of the ancient beliefs of the Church. It calls us to understand the Charismatic Dimension of our faith and to know better the supernatural gifts of the Spirit referred to as Charisms....
Bob’s thesis is that this power of the Holy Spirit through His Charisms, that Jesus promise us in Luke 10:19, Luke 24:49 and Acts of the Apostles 1:8, is needed if we are going to restore a world that is literally falling apart morally, to the peace and love Jesus intended for it.
He suggests that it is time for Church authorities to take up the subject of the Charismatic Dimension of the Church as presented by the Vatican II Documents: study them and start implementing them into the life of the Church as other documents were....
The essence of this Charismatic Dimension of the Church is the Power of the Holy Spirit as expressed through the supernatural gifts, the Charisms. This Power of the Spirit is meant for all members of the Body of Christ, the Church and should be accepted by them.
I agree with Bob’s thesis and challenge readers of this book to consider it seriously and follow up on his suggestions.
